Nariyal Ladoo (Coconut Dessert Balls coated with Almond Powder)

Hello friends!

Nariyal Ladoo, this Indian coconut sweet dish is high in calories but that doesn’t mean we can not indulge occasionally, eating in moderation is the key!

This is a easy recipe that requires only 4 ingredients. I have given this recipe a little twist. Conventionally the nariyal ladoos are coated with coconut powder but i am using almond powder instead!

Good to Know

Coconut Powder is rich in fiber and is gluten free. Sweetened Condensed milk provides extra protein, fat, calcium & phosphorus.

Ingredients

2.5 cups Dry Coconut Powder
3-4 powdered Ilaichi (Cardamom)
Sweetened condensed milk 200 gm or half of one 400 gm tin
8-10 ground Almonds

Method

  1. Roast 2.5 cups of coconut powder on low flame for 4 minutes. Stir continuously.
  2. Add Ilaichi (cardamom) powder & sweetened condensed milk. Stir & mix well for 2 more minutes, It should coat the coconut well.
  3. Let the mixture cool down, you can start making round balls, when the mixture is slightly warm.
  4. Roll the balls into almond flour and refrigerate for few hours before serving.
